About Me
Felix Jimenez is a technology and cybersecurity executive with nearly three decades of experience building and operating platforms for hedge funds, private equity firms, and alternative asset managers. He designs and leads environments that support trading, risk management, and firm-wide operations while meeting the demands of institutional investors.

Felix is the Founder of Pernix Technology Group, where he serves as a fractional CTO and CISO to startup and growth-stage investment firms. He works directly with founders and leadership teams to design and implement technology platforms, cybersecurity programs, and operating models that stand up to investor scrutiny and scale with the business.

He most recently served as Founding Chief Technology Officer of SurgoCap Partners, where he built the full technology platform for a $1.8 billion hedge fund launch, the largest female-led launch on record. He architected a cloud-native environment spanning trading infrastructure, market data, data platforms, cybersecurity, and firm-wide systems, enabling the fund to operate at institutional scale from inception.
Across his career, Felix has held senior leadership roles at Third Point, Millennium Partners, SAC Capital Advisors, and HedgeServ. He has led major initiatives including a $45 million headquarters buildout, global disaster recovery architecture redesign, and the implementation of low-latency trading and market data infrastructure.
His experience extends across the full operating model of investment firms, including investment, compliance, operations, and data workflows. He builds systems that produce audit-ready outputs, satisfy allocator due diligence, and support capital formation.

His work incorporates AI to improve compliance monitoring, operational workflows, and data analysis within investment environments.

He holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY

My leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that sustainable results come from the alignment of people, process, and technology.

I build teams by setting clear expectations, establishing accountability, and creating an environment where trust and ownership drive performance. Strong teams are developed through direct communication, continuous learning, and a culture that values execution.

I establish processes that bring structure and consistency to the organization while remaining practical and adaptable. Effective processes reduce friction, improve decision-making, and allow the business to scale without losing control.

I treat technology as a business driver, not a support function. When aligned with firm objectives, it enables speed, strengthens controls, and creates a measurable advantage.

At the core of my approach is a focus on execution, accountability, and alignment with business outcomes. Every decision is made with the objective of building durable, scalable, and well-governed organizations.
